JB and I have been talking about moving to a different apartment in the somewhat near future so I have been gathering pinspiration for organization and decor. As I chose my favorite images for this post I realized that the main theme is color. I could probably blame it on the delicious promise of upcoming spring but in reality I just think good neutral pieces with colorful accents feel fun and happy and it is just so much easier to call a new place home when it can put a smile on your face just by looking at it.
I think the main thing for me is to invest in the bigger pieces, focusing on somewhat classic shapes and neutral colors, saving a little in more trendy accents that will make each room come together. This way if there comes a time where I want to change the feel of the room I can switch up the little details without breaking the bank.
What do you think of this inspiration? Are you craving color and spring like me or do you go for more neutral/classic styles when it comes to your home decor? Please share because any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Plus I just love looking at pretty homes.

I love the idea of infusing a room with some color! We just got a couch and loveseat from my in-laws that are nice bright plaid and they've really dressed up an otherwise fairly neutral room in my house!

Thanks Andrea! Doesn't color just make you happy? I love classic neutrals but colors just put me in a better mood, and that's always a good thing (especially in the hubby's eyes haha)

Me too, Heather! we don't have a big couch right now so we can't put many pillows on it but I'm hoping when we move we might be able to get a bigger one and then... colored pillow overload!!!! (that's the evil master plan at least)
